What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent and substantial interference with the landlords' and other tenants' reasonable enjoyment of the property. The Tenant had accumulated rent arrears and was excessively cluttering the rental unit and common areas, posing safety risks.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the rental unit by March 14, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,046.64 in rent arrears and compensation, plus $28.77 per day starting March 4, 2021 until the unit is vacated. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 14, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
