What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant did not meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 28, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $5,090.14 by February 28, 2023, which includes rent arrears, less the rent deposit and interest. If the unit is not vacated by February 28, 2023, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement starting March 1, 2023. The Tenant also owes $47.67 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting February 18, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
