What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to undue damage to the rental unit. The Tenants had vacated the unit in mid-July 2021 prior to the hearing.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $1,000 for the reasonable costs of repairing the damage caused to the rental unit, and $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the full amount is not paid by October 18, 2021, the Tenants will owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
