What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent and meet conditions specified in a previous order. Tenant filed a motion to set aside the eviction order. The Board decided to set aside the previous order and issue a new voidable eviction order, giving the Tenant a chance to pay arrears and continue the tenancy.

The ruling

The Board set aside the previous eviction order and issued a new voidable eviction order. The tenancy will be terminated on January 31, 2022, unless the Tenant pays the full arrears by the specified deadlines. The Tenant must pay $3,188.00 by December 31, 2021, or $4,318.00 by January 31, 2022, to void the eviction order and continue the tenancy.
