What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The Tenant failed to pay $500 towards rent arrears as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 21, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $2,490.69, which includes rent arrears up to November 30, 2021 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $27.47 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting December 1, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 21, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest starting January 22, 2022.
