What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant had not paid rent from December 1, 2019 to February 28, 2022. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective March 26, 2021. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 22, 2022. The Tenant must pay $23,823.97 plus $34.52 per day starting February 12, 2022, to the Landlord. If the Tenant does not pay $24,411.00 by February 22, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement. The Tenant has one opportunity to void the eviction order by paying the full amount owed.
