What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective December 20, 2020. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $19,572.76 in rent arrears and compensation, plus $55.89 per day starting December 10, 2020 until they vacate the unit. The Tenants must also pay $175 in application fees. If the full amount is not paid by December 20, 2020, the Tenants will owe interest and the Landlords can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
