What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent and meet conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant did not pay the full lawful rent for December 2022 by December 2, 2022, and failed to pay $100 towards arrears by December 15, 2022, as required by the previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 4, 2023. The Tenant must pay $3,920.03 to the Landlord, representing rent owing up to March 24, 2023, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay $27.62 per day from March 25, 2023, until vacating the unit. If the Tenant does not vacate by April 4, 2023, the Landlord may enforce the eviction through the Court Enforcement Office.
