What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord intends to convert the rental unit to a non-residential use. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated, effective October 18, 2021. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before October 18, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $27.95 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from October 19, 2021 to the date the Tenant moves out.
