What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation by the Landlord's son.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 30, 2021. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before November 5, 2021. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $1,058.75 for use of the unit from October 1, 2021 to October 25, 2021, and $42.35 per day for use of the unit from October 26, 2021 to the date they move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by November 5, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
