What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant was in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed but did not pay the total rent the Tenant was required to pay for the period from September 1, 2019 to April 30, 2020. The Tenant vacated the unit on April 30, 2020.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $5,038.81 in rent arrears and $190 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 3, 2020, the Tenant will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
