What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board on June 11, 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 10, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlords $4,473.44, which includes rent arrears up to July 30, 2021 and costs from the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $59.18 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting July 31, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the full amount is not paid by August 10, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
