What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenants were not present at the initial hearing, and only one Tenant attended the reconvened hearing after the Landlord had left.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants void the order by paying $18,236.00 by September 13, 2022. If not voided, the Tenants must vacate by September 13, 2022, and pay $16,010.60 plus $31.23 per day from July 21, 2022, until they move out. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting September 14, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
