What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing. The Landlord's application was amended to correct a data entry error, increasing the claimed arrears from $1800.00 to $2700.00 for March through May 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $7,386.00 by October 31, 2022, or $8,286.00 by November 11, 2022. If not paid, the Tenant must vacate by November 11, 2022, and pay $7,196.16 plus $29.59 per day from October 25, 2022, until move-out. The Tenant has one opportunity to file a motion to void the order if full payment is made before the Sheriff enforces eviction.
