What happened
Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Landlord had served valid N1 and N2 notices to increase the rent, but the Tenants argued the increases were not in accordance with Board guidelines.
The ruling
The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $6,061.50, which includes $5,871.50 in rent arrears and a $190 filing fee. If the Tenants default on the payment, the entire balance will become due and payable with 2% annual interest.
