What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. Tenants failed to pay rent from July 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022. Landlords served a Notice of Termination effective August 31, 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 29, 2022. Tenants must pay $14,274.06 plus $82.19 per day starting January 19, 2022, to the Landlords. If Tenants pay $15,286.00 by January 29, 2022, the eviction order will be void. Tenants may make a motion to set aside the order if they pay the required amount after January 30, 2022, but before the Sheriff enforces the eviction.
