What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 2, 2021. The Tenant Santanna Shawanda is ordered to pay $9,311.18 to the Landlords, which includes rent arrears up to the termination date, compensation for use of the unit, and the application filing fee, less the rent deposit and interest on the deposit. If the full amount is not paid by August 2, 2021, the Landlords may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
