What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant was in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed, but had paid all arrears for the period ending August 31, 2021 after the application was filed. The only outstanding amount was the Landlord's cost of filing the application.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 30, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance starting October 1, 2021.
