What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice of Termination effective January 31, 2020, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 7, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,911.20 in rent arrears and application costs, plus $27.65 per day in compensation starting January 28, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 7, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenant can void the order by paying $5,187 by January 31, 2021 or $6,028 by February 7, 2021.
