What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant or another occupant committing an illegal act involving the production, trafficking, or possession of illegal drugs in the rental unit or residential complex, and the Tenant knowingly misrepresenting their income or the income of other household members.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out of the rental unit by August 20, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $5.33 per day for use of the unit starting August 12, 2022 until the move-out date, as well as $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owed by August 20, 2022, they will start accruing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
