What happened
Tenant applied for an order determining that Landlord failed to meet maintenance obligations or comply with health, safety, housing or maintenance standards. Issues included flooring, front door, thermostat, washer and dryer, and cleanliness of the unit.
The ruling
The Landlord failed to meet maintenance obligations by not repairing the damaged flooring in a timely manner. The Landlord is ordered to pay the Tenant a $750 rent abatement and repair or replace the damaged flooring by August 1, 2021. The Landlord is also ordered to ensure the front door is in proper working condition. The Tenant's other claims were dismissed.
