What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board on November 26, 2021 with respect to application TNL-33473-21. The Tenant failed to pay $1,000 towards the arrears and the lawful monthly rent on or before December 1, 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the rental unit by January 25, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $11,504.52, which includes the outstanding rent arrears, costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 25, 2022, the Tenant will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
