What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to meet conditions specified in a mediated settlement issued by the Board on January 21, 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 16, 2020. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $1,794.76, which includes rent arrears, the previous application fee, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $47.67 per day for compensation for use of the unit from April 1, 2020 until they move out. If the full amount is not paid by August 16, 2020, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
