What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to the Landlord requiring possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation by the Landlord's mother-in-law.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective November 14, 2021. The Landlord must pay the Tenant $800 for one month's rent compensation by November 8, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by November 14, 2021, the Tenant must pay the Landlord $26.30 per day in rent until the unit is vacated, and the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
