What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant or someone permitted by Tenant carrying on illegal trade involving production and trafficking of illegal drugs, and causing undue damage to the rental unit and residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 20, 2020. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $10,100 for the reasonable costs of repairing the damage or replacing the damaged property, $64.11 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from July 16, 2020 to the move-out date, and $190 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 20, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 3% annually on the outstanding balance.
