What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord has entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit and the purchaser in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 17, 2023. The Tenants must vacate the unit by this date or face eviction by the Sheriff. The Tenants are ordered to pay $9,586.85 to the Landlord for use of the unit up to July 12, 2022, plus $59.18 per day from July 13, 2022, until they move out. If payment is not made by March 17, 2023, interest will accrue at 5% annually.
