What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 6, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,660.49 in rent arrears and $186 in application fees, for a total of $4,846.59. If the Tenant pays this amount by March 6, 2021, the Tenant can void the order and continue the tenancy. If the Tenant does not pay, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
