What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.

The ruling

The Landlord shall compensate the Tenant in an amount equal to one month's rent or offer the Tenant another rental unit acceptable to the Tenant on or before December 31, 2021. If the Landlord complies, the tenancy is terminated as of December 31, 2021 and the Tenant must move out by that date. If the unit is not vacated by December 31, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced starting January 1, 2022.
