What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant. Landlord also applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the Landlord's reasonable out-of-pocket expenses that are the result of the Tenant's failure to pay utility costs they were required to pay under the terms of the tenancy agreement.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $751.60 for the unpaid water bills and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application, for a total of $937.60. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by December 13, 2022, they will start to owe interest at 4.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
