What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 12, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $9,541.00 (less any amount paid after the application was filed) for rent arrears and application costs. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 12, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance. If the unit is not vacated by February 12, 2021, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
