What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent and meet conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant failed to pay the lawful rent of $1,695.00 on time for January 1, 2023, and had outstanding rent arrears from a previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 4, 2023. The Tenant must pay $4,748.52 to the Landlord for rent arrears up to March 24, 2023, plus $55.73 per day from March 25, 2023, until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not vacate by April 4, 2023, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting April 5, 2023.
