What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid N4 Notice, which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The tenants were still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective September 30, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $7,562.12 by September 30, 2021, or they will start owing interest. If the unit is not vacated by September 30, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for eviction. The Tenants have the option to void the eviction order by paying $9,401 by August 31, 2021 or $11,001 by September 30, 2021.
