What happened

Landlord applied for an order to evict Tenants because they occupy the superintendent's unit and their employment as superintendent has ended.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenants is terminated, effective August 3, 2021. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before August 3, 2021. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $13,316.23 for compensation for the use of the unit from May 29, 2020 to July 23, 2021, and $31.63 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from July 24, 2021 to the date they move out. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by August 3, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
