What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 29, 2016. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,563.94, which includes rent arrears, compensation, and the application fee, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $49.61 per day for use of the unit starting January 19, 2016 until the Tenant vacates. If the full amount is not paid by January 29, 2016, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
