What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective November 6, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $12,702.65, representing rent arrears, NSF cheque charges, and application fees, less the rent deposit. The Tenant must also pay $73.94 per day in compensation for use of the unit from October 1, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the full amount is not paid by November 6, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
