What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent and not meeting conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant did not pay the full lawful rent for November 2022 on or before November 1, 2022, breaching the conditions of the previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by February 21, 2023. The Tenant is ordered to pay $9,235.35 to the Landlord, representing rent owing up to February 10, 2023, less the rent deposit and interest. Additionally, the Tenant must pay $37.81 per day from February 11, 2023, until they vacate the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 21, 2023, interest will be charged at 5.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
