What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy of Tenant Danielle Ramjattan and evict Unauthorized Occupant Tim Bekkers. The Landlord also applied for compensation for the use of the rental unit.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenant is terminated as of November 30, 2019. The Unauthorized Occupant must vacate the rental unit by May 8, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Unauthorized Occupant must pay the Landlord $22,666.43 for use of the unit from December 1, 2019 to April 27, 2021, and an additional $44.24 per day from April 28, 2021 until the date they move out, as well as the $190 application fee, by July 31, 2021.
