The ruling
The tenancy is terminated as of May 19, 2021, the date the Tenant vacated the rental unit. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $571.44, which represents the amount of rent owing and compensation up to May 19, 2021, as well as $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by July 30, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest calculated at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
