What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to the Landlord's good faith requirement of the rental unit for personal residential occupation for at least one year. The Landlord served a valid N12 notice and paid the required one-month rent compensation to the Tenants. The Tenants did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must vacate the rental unit by July 18, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $186 for the application filing fee.
