What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants were evicted by the Sheriff from the rental unit on September 24, 2020 as a result of a previous L2 application, and the within application was filed on August 20, 2020.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $11,746.92, which represents the amount of rent owing and compensation up to September 24, 2020, less the rent deposit and interest the Landlord owes on the rent deposit. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by March 21, 2021, they will owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
