What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant raised issues of loss of unit hydro and bullying from the Landlord, but these were not considered due to lack of advance notice. The Board postponed the eviction until November 30, 2022, giving the Tenant an opportunity to pay the arrears and continue the tenancy.

The ruling

The tenancy will be terminated unless the Tenant pays $2,381.00 by November 30, 2022. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must move out by November 30, 2022, and pay $312.68 plus $26.40 per day from October 13, 2022, until they move out. The eviction can be enforced by the Sheriff starting December 1, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
