The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 31, 2021. The tenant must pay the landlord $3,882.00, which includes rent arrears up to October 20, 2021 and the application filing fee, less the rent deposit. The tenant must also pay $36.00 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting October 21, 2021 until the tenant moves out. If the full amount is not paid by October 31, 2021, the tenant will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance. If the unit is not vacated by October 31, 2021, the landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
