What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlords require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation by their son, Owen Day. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The application is dismissed. The Landlords did not establish that they have a genuine intent to reclaim the basement unit for the purpose of residential occupation by their son.
