What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. Landlord also applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to substantial interference, but withdrew this application.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 15, 2020. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,512.70, which includes rent arrears up to December 5, 2019 and the cost of filing the application, less the rent deposit. The Tenant must also pay $32.88 per day for compensation for use of the unit from December 6, 2019 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 15, 2020, the Tenant will owe interest and the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
