What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Tenant entered into an agreement to terminate the tenancy. The issuance of the order was delayed due to a Superior Court of Justice order suspending the enforcement of LTB eviction orders during the period from March 18, 2020 to July 31, 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before August 16, 2020. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing on or before August 16, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding. If the unit is not vacated on or before August 16, 2020, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced.
