Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to allegations of drug trafficking, serious impairment of safety, and substantial damage to the rental unit and residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective June 7, 2021. The Tenant must move out by that date and pay the Landlord $4,000 for the cost of repairing the damage, $39.45 per day for compensation for use of the unit after the termination date, and $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by June 7, 2021, they will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
