What happened

The Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy of Tom Cunningham (the 'Tenant') because he transferred occupancy of the rental unit to Paul Cunningham (the 'Occupant'). The Landlord also applied for compensation for the use of the rental unit.

The ruling

The Tenancy between the Landlords and the Tenant is terminated as of August 22, 2022. The Occupant shall move out of the unit on or before March 21, 2023 and pay the Landlords $5,635.08, which includes daily compensation for use of the unit and the cost of filing the application. If the Occupant does not pay the full amount by March 21, 2023, they will start to owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
