What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid Notice of Termination effective May 20, 2020 due to rent arrears. The Tenant paid all arrears for the period ending November 30, 2020 after the application was filed, but the Landlord's cost of filing the application remained outstanding.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 31, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
