What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent as specified in a previous order. The Tenants did not meet the conditions of the previous order to pay the outstanding rent and utility bills.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 5, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $9,992.28, which includes the outstanding rent arrears and costs from the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $64.11 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting February 23, 2022 until they vacate. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by March 5, 2022, they will owe interest on the outstanding balance.
