What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to wilful or negligent damage to the premises, substantial interference with the Landlord's reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest, and impairment of safety of any person.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 7, 2021, the date the Tenants provided vacant possession to the Landlord. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $700 for damage repair/replacement and the $186 application filing fee. If the full amount is not paid by August 28, 2021, the Tenants will owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
